An incredible fully guided journey into the heart of rural Ireland and the Inner Sanctum of the first distillery in Connacht in 101 years: The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, the home of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Drumshanbo Single Pot Still, and other remarkable creations from the Curious Mind of PJ Rigney.

The tour includes TWO expert tastings – A special whiskey tasting in the Whiskey Maturation Hall and a gin tasting in the Honey Badger Bar

Delve deeper into the Curious Mind of PJ Rigney with the new Grand Cru Whiskey Experience at the Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, Drumshanbo. Each Grand Cru Whiskey Experience features an expert flight of tastings with the flagship Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, the small batch yearly edition of Drumshanbo Single Malt Irish Whiskey Galanta Release, and one of our unique cask Expressions.

December at The Shed Distillery

Celebrate the festive season at The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, Drumshanbo, with a full calendar of December events to enjoy. From creative workshops like festive candle painting and cocktail experiences, to Christmas movie nights, carol services and seasonal dining at The Jackalope Café, there’s something for everyone to savour.

Visitors can browse unique gifts at The Curious Gift Shop, enjoy special screenings at the Visitor Experience, and soak up the atmosphere with friends, family or colleagues. The distillery will close briefly over Christmas before reopening to welcome visitors for the remainder of the holiday season.

Experience an unforgettable festive moment with the Extraordinary Drumshanbo Fireworks at The Shed Distillery Visitor Experience. On Saturday 20th December, visitors are invited to gather for a spectacular fireworks display set against the beautifully lit distillery grounds.

The display begins at 4.30pm, with guests asked to assemble at the roundabout in front of the distillery from 4.15pm. On the evening, enjoy complimentary mulled wine, mince pies and festive treats as the sky lights up in celebration.

A perfect way to mark the season with family and friends, this free event promises warmth, wonder and a truly magical atmosphere at The Shed Distillery.
